A full time maker of hand-built earthenware since 1980, Anna Lambert shares her North Yorkshire studio with painter David Thomas. Her many solo exhibitions include The Scottish Gallery, Edinburgh, Contemporary Ceramics, London, and galleries in Europe and USA. Fellow of Craft Potters Association. Anna’s most recent pieces explore new ideas about place, in particular the local moors, woodlands and valley bottoms, undergoing transformation as land use and climate changes. New forms include sculptural/platter pieces for display on walls, tables or shelves. Each slab built piece is painted with multiple layers of coloured slips with embossed, inlaid and modelled surfaces.
